SSL Certificates are used to secure communications between a website, host or server and end users that are connecting to that server. An SSL certificate will confirm the identity of the Organization that is operating the website; encrypt all information passed between the site and the visitor and will ensure the integrity of all transmitted data.
1-,2-, or 3-year certificates can be issued. A 2-year certificate is provisioned unless requested otherwise.
Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs)
- See this Comodo KB article for information about how Comodo handles certificate revocation lists.
- Each certificate provisioned will have a X509v3 CRL Distribution Points entry for live access to the current CRL.
